找到官方資料 各層行政區 架構圖, 比較清楚易明。

5 類： 

- London boroughs 大倫敦
- metropolitan districts 大都會
- unitary authorities 單一管理區/地方政府
- county councils （非大都會）郡 政府
- district councils 地區地方政府 

而各城鎮內的 parish(es) 是細區。  

多是由從前的 教堂堂區而來。
